Over the course of several meetings and taking into account comments from many residents the common theme of a mill was settled on as the basis of the picture for the sign. Different background colours and the village name where then applied with each sign having the banner A Mill Stream Village and then under that a stream showing the five dots for the villages and that village’s position along this stream being highlighted.
The same designs have also been used for greetings cards which have sold well and provide funds for the upkeep of the signs.
